Rok was appointed to work on the campaign for the prestigious Trilby Tour golf tournament by William Hunt Savile Row. Now in its second year, the tournament needed a website that would take the event up a gear and increase brand awareness within the golfing community. The event, held at the exclusive Buckinghamshire Golf Club and televised by Sky Sports, is aimed at aspiring professional golfers and amateur golfers. It allows them the opportunity to experience playing a professional tournament whilst wearing the William Hunt Golfsexy clothing and obligatory trilby!
The new website www.williamhunttrilbytour.com was launched in April 2008 to rave reviews. The site is fully transactional, with an online booking system allowing entrants to book their place and choose their clothing. Rok also developed an advertising campaign and direct mail campaign to promote the event and drive traffic to the website.
The amateur event sold out within 4 weeks and the professional event within 8 weeks. Everyone is now looking forward to the event on the 28th/29th of July which should be a great success.
Rok has already been asked to start looking at marketing next year’s event, which is to be bigger and better again.
